Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes were on target as Manchester United stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to eight games.

Manchester United’s push for a top-four spot continued on Tuesday as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

United wasted little time stamping their authority on the game as strikes from Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes put them two up before the half-hour mark.

Greenwood was the provider for Fernandes’ second after 50 minutes as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side made it eight games unbeaten in the Premier League.

Solskjaerโ€™s side work the ball neatly down the right-hand side before the ball is fed inside to Pogba. The Frenchman lifts his head up and slides a pass to his left for Fernandes, who strikes the post with a well-struck shot from distance.

16′ GOAL! Brighton 0-1 Man Utd (Greenwood)

Wan-Bissaka plays a clever ball inside for Greenwood who drives at the heart of the Brighton defence. The youngster knocks the ball onto his left foot, before striking through the legs of Dunk and into the bottom right corner from the centre of the area.

21′ Fernandes’ free kick over the bar

Fernandes steps up to take the set-piece, but sends his right-footed effort wide to the left of Ryanโ€™s goal.

The visitors double their lead! A one-two between Shaw and Rashford results in a low cross being poorly dealt with by Brighton. The loose ball falls to Pogba on the edge of the box, who tees it up to Fernandes, before the Portuguese international curls an effort into the bottom right corner from the edge of the box.

The away side break with real pace down the left-hand side of the field. Greenwood gets the ball under control and clips a dangerous cross in towards the back post. Fernandes arrives and volleys the delivery beyond Ryan from the middle of the box.

69′ De Gea makes a decent save

Following the water break, Brighton come out looking to force the issue. Trossard plays a forward pass to Connelly, who gets the ball out of his feet and curls one towards goal. De Gea is quickly over to his left to tip the shot over the bar when it looked destined for the top corner.
