The mother of four also demanded a full retraction of the defamatory comments Sarah made against her during an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Frezze.

In the interview with Daddy Freeze, Sarah claimed that May failed in her duties to Yul as his wife, which made Yul take a second wife.

Taking to her Instagram page, May shared the legal documents filed by her lawyers which stated that Sarah’s edited photo depicted their client “as part of a polygamous family in which she is a co-wife”, something May has made clear several times that she will not be a party to.

It also stated that on a YouTube channel hosted by Daddy Freeze on December 27, Sarah, who was a guest, made some allegations that May failed in her duties as a wife to Yul and this made him take Judy as a second wife.

The documents demanded that Sarah Chukwukere apologizes and retracts her defamatory publication or they will commence a lawsuit against her and they will demand damages of not less than Five Hundred Million Naira.

Sharing the lawsuit on her page May captioned the post;

“It is very inconsiderate and demeaning to SMEAR anyone especially someone you barely knew. I’ve always had a PEACEFUL, JOYFUL and LOVING family. I worked tirelessly for several years building a beautiful home while managing several businesses successfully.
It is very evident that some persons have been deliberately and desperately trying to TAINT my reputation and “change the narrative” in order to suit their agenda. This is unacceptable to me.
My passionate legal team will be extremely cheerful to dine with anyone who does not cease and desist from character assassination or defamatory publications in the court of law.”

“I decided to stick to love…Hate is too great a burden to bear. I am still very much incapable of HATING anyone, let alone the father of my children. The fact remains that anyone can choose to practice POLYGAMY, but can’t be impelled to accept what was never bargained for.

“To reaffirm my stands, I will not be CAJOLED into accepting polygamy, which goes against my beliefs, faith, and values.
I will not be NUMBERED in a home that we started building with love, faith, tears, hopes, and prayers in a CATHOLIC marriage of 18 years following a long term premarital relationship.

“This is also a passionate appeal to put an END to the constant “show” on the social media space where our kids are growing into unless it is absolutely necessary. Let’s prevent our lovely children from all the incessant drama series that might take a toll on them directly or indirectly amongst their peers.

“May GOD in His infinite mercy and compassion guide us all in the right direction.

“Merry Christmas in advance everyone!”

Family not in support – Uche Edochie speaks on Yul second wife.

Advertisements

Uche Edochie, artist and brother to Nollywood star, Yul Edochie has shared his thoughts on the recent controversy surrounding Yul, following his marriage to his second wife, Judy Moghalu.

“We told Yul not to do it. He did it anyway,” Uche said in a statement in the early hours of Friday.

According to him, the union happened out of the blue and he described the situation as unfair, stating that his first wife, Mary never signed up for polygamy.

While acknowledging that the family does not approve of the situation, he also cautioned Nigerians not to be quick to judge anyone.

“If the average person walks in Yul’s shoes for one year, they will get five or more women pregnant. So don’t be quick to judge if you have not lived that life. Most people will do worse,” Uche said.

Read the full statement below.

“Hello guys. So my younger brother Yul Edochie just married a second wife out of the blue and Nigerians are freaking out. I get it. We are all shocked. I am a low-key type of guy and I have tried to mind my own business but this circus is chasing me around too. So here is my take.

“I see two main problems here. His first wife Mary, a wonderful woman and my sister-in-law did not go into a relationship with my brother agreeing to be part of a polygamous marriage. That’s the first problem. So I feel for Mary. It is not fair on her. My family is not in support. This is not what we do and we are trying our best to console Mary. What else can we do?

“The second issue is that Yul is not a Muslim. If he was a Muslim, no one will be talking about this. Muslims marry as many wives as they want and nobody says shit. Traditional rulers and traditionalists of sorts do the same thing too and the Nigerian constitution recognizes polygamy as a legal marital union. Maybe we should burn that bloody constitution.

“We told Yul not to do it. He did it anyway. Have you ever tried controlling an adult when it comes to relationships? Good luck with that. Yul is an adult who feels marrying a second woman is the best way to own up to his mistakes and make things right. It took a lot of courage for him to do this too.

Advertisements

“A Muslim marries two or more wives and his people throw a party. Totally normal. A Christian does the same thing and he is the worst human being alive. It is tough. Women throw themselves at famous people so bad that it is suffocating. If the average person walks in Yul’s shoes for one year, they will get five or more women pregnant. So don’t be quick to judge if you have not lived that life. Most people will do worse.

“So this is Yul’s new baby with his new wife. Beautiful boy. Children are a gift from God. It is the circumstances of their birth that gets us all riled up about what’s right and wrong. I wish them all luck. Maybe Yul should become a Muslim and shut this circus down. It is said that life is what happens when we are making other plans. I was minding my own business. And now this. Fantastic.”

This reaction comes days after the famed Nollywood actor and son of veteran Pete Edochie, announced that he had taken a second wife.

He made the announcement in a post celebrating his newborn son, saying he loves him just like his other four children from his marriage of 17 years.

Many Nigerian, however, were shocked by the news sparking conversations about polygamy and adultery.

Nigerians were not the only ones displeased by the development. His first wife Mary took to his comments section and wrote “May God judge you both”.

Judy who is a long-time friend and colleague to Yul, has also come under fire for getting involved with a married man.

COVID-19: PMB should give Nigerians N50,000 each – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie have beckoned on Nigeria’s President, Muhammad Buhari, to give out at least 50,000 naira each to all Nigerians to aid them during the Coronavirus lockdown.

“Dear President @MBuhari Pls provide an economic relief package for Nigerians, even if it’s 50k each, it will go a long way.People are hungry, locked down with no money, begging left, right & centre. With the situation like this, it’ll be difficult to keep people at home”, Yul Edochie wrote.

This is coming after President Muhammadu Buhari addressed the nation on the wild spread of Coronavirus in Nigeria, announced complete lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun for the next two weeks.

The measure, he said is to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), said to have been linked to persons who have travelled from these centres.
Buhari said inter state and intercity movements are restricted to prevent further spread.

COVID-19: God save us – Yul Edochie.

Yul Edochie, Nollywood actor, says Nigeria lacks the capacity required to contain the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The 38-year-old filmstar disclosed this in a tweet on Tuesday, just after Nigeria had recorded it’s first death from the zonotic disease.

While describing the virus as a plague and stating that the whole world is in a mess, Edochie prayed that God saves the country from the pandemic.

“God, please save us from this coronavirus pandemic. The whole world is in chaos. Our country does not have the capacity to contain it,” he wrote.

“We look to you Father in heaven, our creator, please be merciful, look upon us with pity and take this plague away.”

Nigeria has recorded nearly 40 coronavirus cases spread across six states while the global death toll has exceeded 16,500, with over 380,000 infected in more than 170 countries.

The federal and state governments in Nigeria had, as a result, put measures in place to prevent a further spread of the virus.

Such includes travel bans, suspension of long-scheduled events, closure of educational institutions, and restriction of large gatherings.

But some of these directives, particularly involving the ban on large gatherings, have been ignored by some religious leaders.

Why I didn’t kneel to propose to my wife – Yul Edochie

Veteran actor, Pete Edochie’s son, Yul has opened up on his stand on men who kneel down to propose marriage to women.

According to Yul, he didn’t kneel to propose to his wife after all.

“I didn’t kneel because I didn’t have to. My wife didn’t ask me to kneel and propose to her. I got married many years ago, 2004 or so. But I will tell you what I think about kneeling to propose. To an extent, my father is right. It is not our culture. It is foreign.

“But it is actually no big deal. It is not that serious. Whether you kneel or lie down to propose, the woman who would leave you, would. The one who won’t respect you, won’t respect you. The one who would love you, respect you and stick with you, will surly do regardless of how you proposed.

“My father is 73 years ago, much respect to him, but you see, he is speaking from his own era. He lives in that time when they don’t need to kneel to propose,” he said.

Recall that last week, a video surfaced online in which Pete Edochie insisted that men who kneel to propose were idiots and foolish.

He said, “Any young man who gets down on his knees to propose to a girl is not just an idiot, he is a bloody fool. The reason I am saying this is simple– we try to copy white people.

“The white man kneels down to propose to a girl. You know what it means? The girl takes over the family. That is why whenever a man disagrees with his wife overseas, he would be kicked out and his wife would take over the house.

“If you call that civilization; it is alright. Kneel down before your wife and I would sympathise with you when she takes over the home.”
