Adeleke clarifies report on Valentine’s Day celebration for Osun workers.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has debunked armories making the rounds that his government was organising a Valentine’s Day celebration for the state’s workers.

Adeleke’s denial of the story was contained in a statement on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Olawale Rasheed, who said there was no truth whatsoever in the rumour.

The statement said instead of embarking on such a venture, the State Civil Service Union, in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service, would rather host an annual Valentine’s Day event that has been on for the past four years which was started by the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

A circular earlier on Saturday which was signed by K. Akintola, on behalf of the State Head of Service, had stated that the celebration would hold at the Bola Ige White House, in the Osun Governor’s Office, on Tuesday.

The circular noted that Adeleke, would be the special guest at the occasion, while the Head of Service would be the father of the day.

But while clarifying the position of the government on the purported party, Rasheed said the programme was not a Valentine’s Day celebration as being speculated.

“The event was regularly held under the previous administration, and as such, the Civil Service Union is only continuing a tradition that predates the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke,” he said

Feb’14: Mike Bamiloye reveals what will happen on valentine night.

Popular Nigeria televangelist Mike Bamiloye has described valentine’s day as the day of death.

The cleric stressed that February 14 would see the death of many destinies as many people would engage in lustful pleasure to mark the day.

Citing Joseph as an example from the bible that every young person should emulate, the Christain Film Maker advises that if he had slept with Potiphar’s wife, his destiny would be slaughtered and aborted.

Taking to the microblogging site, Twitter, he said;

“Tomorrow is a day of death. Tomorrow evening is a ‘Night of Fun’ when many men and ladies will slaughter their destinies on the bed of lustful pleasure. By the next morning, it is done! Destiny auctioned to a young man or a lady whose future has been mortgaged to the devil.

“Happy Valentine! If Joseph had had fun with Potiphar’s wife, he would never have got to the palace to see the type of Glory he saw. He escaped that trap that would have aborted his destiny on which so many lives in Egypt and Canaan land depended upon.

“There is a great story in Proverbs 7:6-27. It is a sad story of a young man on his own “Valentine Night.” He had thought he wanted to have fun that night; he had thought he wanted to enjoy himself but crashed his future in a night of fun.”

Feb:14: Denrele Edun Reveals Why He Keeps Going To Grave Every Valentine’s Day

Nigerian media personality, Denrele Edun has talked about why he keeps visiting Goldie’s grave some seven years after her death.

Every year since late singer, Goldie Harvey, died in 2013, her close friend, Denrele Edun, has been visiting her grave on Valentine’s Day, which is the anniversary of her death. While some have commended his commitment to his deceased friend, others insinuated that he was doing it for publicity sake.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, the media personality noted that the visits were his own way of keeping Goldie’s memory alive.

“It is my little way of letting people remember that there was once a Goldie, there still is a Goldie and there will forever be a Goldie. Anytime I do that, people remember her. Some stations play her music and it might just be for that day but somehow, she is remembered, appreciated and loved on Valentine’s Day. No matter my schedule, I make sure I visit her grave every Valentine’s Day. It is so weird because the guards at the grave usually expect me. That is the only way I can communicate with her.”

Edun also stated that he had not being in touch with the late singer’s family.

The former television presenter also maintained that he would continue visiting Goldie’s grave until he got a revelation to do otherwise.

Denrele, who recently shared his experience with the husband of a friend who said he didn’t like him, insisted that things like that did not get to him.

He added, “It is different when people tell you they don’t like you upfront, so you already know what you are dealing with. I can take open confrontation but when it comes from the action (of the person), I am a very strong-minded individual. As humans, we try to decipher what warranted such behaviour from someone who doesn’t know one’s story and it is not reciprocal because one doesn’t hate that person. I feel everyone is entitled to their views. You know my name not my story.

You don’t know what I have been through. I like good energy. I am a positive-minded person and I don’t want to cross paths with these people. Honestly, I am not bothered.”

Chris brown posted and deleted Karrueche Tran’s clip (Reasons)

Chris Brown was reminiscing on his relationship with Karrueche Tran on Valentine’s Day, as he posted a clip of her from his “Autumn Leaves” music video on his Instagram story while she spent the special day with her boyfriend, Victor Cruz.

While many folks celebrate the holiday of love with their significant others or even friends or family, Chris was caught up in his feelings about a lost love. The singer shared a snippet from his “Autumn Leaves” music video for his 61.1 million Instagram followers to see, before quickly taking the story down from his page.

The share comes as a bit of a surprise, considering the two have not been an item for quite some time. The former couple began dating way back in 2010, and were on and off until Chris revealed that he had impregnated Nia Guzman in 2015.

Since then, Chris and Karrueche have gone their separate ways, and she was even granted a restraining order against him, due to his alleged domestic abuse.

In fact, Karrueche has been cuffed to football player, Victor Cruz, since 2017. While Chris was busy hinting to the world that he wants her back, Karrueche was celebrating V-Day with her honey.

It’s even been rumoured that Chris has recently gotten back together with his ex-girlfriend and baby mother, Ammika Harris.

The two have been dropping major hints that they’ve rekindled their romance, and it was even speculated that they had gotten engaged. However, Chris’ latest social media move has us thinking that the two are just co-parents and nothing more.

A few weeks ago, Chris pulled a similar stunt when he posted a brief clip of himself from an old interview, writing in the caption that he was “still in love with her,” but failing to specify who he was referring to.

He ultimately deleted that post as well, but fans had already started speculating that he was referring to Karrueche or his other ex, Rihanna.

Feb’14: Kanu didn’t attend parent’s funeral; accused police of arresting IPOB members

Although IPOB members didn’t show up at the ceremony in their uniform, they praised Kanu and chanted pro-Biafra songs.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has accused Nigerian police and soldiers of arresting members of the group heading to his parents burial on Friday, February 14, 2020.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Kanu said the mourners were accosted on their way to the burial and intercepted in three coaster buses on Enugu-Port-Harcourt expressway.

Earlier, the Abia State Police Command had warned IPOB members against attending the burial, but members of the group defied the police order on Friday, as many of them attended the burial ceremony in Afaraukwu.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Ene Okon, had warned that the police would not allow miscreants disguising as IPOB members to hijack the burial, adding that the group members won’t be allowed to display Biafran flag and other insignia.

Kanu’s parents, Israel Kanu and wife, Sally, were laid to rest at Isiama Afaraukwu in the Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state.

According to Punch, riot police and other security agents closely monitored the burial process.

Although IPOB members didn’t show up at the ceremony in their uniform, they praised Kanu and chanted pro-Biafra songs.

A member of the group, identified as Maduka Okeke, who spoke to Punch said no amount of threat could stop them from paying their last respect to Kanu’s parents by attending their burial.

He said, “We didn’t come in our uniforms because we are mourning and in the Igbo culture we have a dress code for burials.”

Kanu’s father, died at 85 while his wife, Sally, died at 67.

The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi; Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and Senator Victor Umeh were among the dignitaries that attended the burial ceremony.

Toke Makinwa: Divorce in marriage not disease

Popular Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has said African traditions have failed couples in that they see divorce as a disease while preaching “till death do you part” gospels.

Recall that NobleReporters had reported that a federal capital territory (FCT) high court had sentenced Maryam Sanda, a Nigerian woman convicted of killing her husband, to death by hanging.

Sanda was said to have stabbed her husband over alleged infidelity, although she had claimed that he died when he fell on a broken piece of “shisha” pot during their argument.

Makinwa, while addressing the issue in a recent episode of her vlog, blamed religion and African traditions for not preaching divorce enough, describing herself as a fan of separation marriages.
