Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens Fights To No-Contest.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens rekindled their legendary rivalry with more intensity than ever, as The Master Strategist looked to prove he could handle The Prizefighter by himself.

The two battled each other for nearly 20 minutes, pulling every move out of their respective playbooks with Zayn hitting Blue Thunder Bombs and Owens landing swanton bombs aplenty.

A huge suplex from KO to The Honorary Uce from the top rope nearly splintered Zayn in two and left both combatants on the ground.

Just as Zayn was about to deliver a Helluva Kick to KO, The Bloodline erupted on the scene, causing a no-contest between the two fierce rivals and shocking Zayn into disbelief. The Bloodline put the boots to The Prizefighter with Solo Sikoa delivering a humongous splash onto KO through an announce table.

While speaking on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE had surprise plans for Owens as he has been off television for a while. Although not confirmed, his surprise return would likely have led to him being added to the WarGames match.

“I only heard he has a sprained MCL, but he was going to get it examined…..I believe he was going to be in the WarGames match. That’s not 100% confirmed, but it is certainly the talk, and he was supposed to be in something as a surprise. So it all adds up that it would be the WarGames match…If that was the case, this could cost him that.”

Owens came down from the turnbuckle and landed hard on his knee before he immediately clutched the knee as the referee checked on him. Owens then got back up, hit the Stunner, and got the pin on Theory. Owens was helped to the backstage area by the referee while limping.

Lie detector results reveal the truth about Ezekiel; is he Elias?

Advertisements

This week on WWE Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens welcomed Ezekiel as his guest on The KO Show. Owens was also joined by Chad Gable and they are on a mission to prove that Ezekiel is really Elias. Gable was there to administer the lie detector test.

After some baseline questions, Ezekiel said that his real name is indeed Ezekiel and the test results said he was telling the truth. When asked if Elias is his older brother, the results said he was telling the truth. Owens asked if his real name is Elias and the results said that he was telling his truth when he answered “no” to the question.

Owens took over and Gable left and Ezekiel fired back by calling Owens the biggest liar in WWE. As Owens walked off, Ezekiel was attacked by Gable and that led to a match.

He is not Elias, Ezekiel provides photo evidence to prove Kevin Owens wrong.

Advertisements

If you need any more proof that Ezekiel is indeed the younger brother of Elias, then all you need to do is to check out his Instagram account.

Ezekiel posted a photo on his account that shows him side by side with his older brother, who we presume is on vacation because he hasn’t been seen or heard from on WWE television in many months.

The photo serves to debunk theories. The first is that Elias is dead (which he is not) and the second clearly shows that Kevin Owens has been wrong all along about Ezekiel and Elias being two different people.

Ezekiel posted this caption along with the photo: “Haters will say it’s photoshopped, but we know the truth.”

Elias back in WWE Raw with new look, new name, mocks Kevin Owens | Video.

Advertisements

The man formerly known as Elias is back on WWE Monday Night Raw with a new look and new name. He made his return during a promo segment with Kevin Owens.

He claimed to be Ezekiel, the younger brother of Elias. Ezekiel mocked Kevin Owens for taking the Stone Cold Stunner on Saturday night. Owens told Ezekiel to leave the ring or face the consequences but it was KO who left the ring.

As it was noted several months ago, Elias was pulled from WWE TV last August because Vince McMahon wanted to repackage him. At one point, he was going to have colorful gear but that look was scrapped because the gear and the beard he had looked too much like Randy Savage. You can see what he looked like as “Randy Savage” by clicking here.

WWE sent the fans home happy tonight after Monday Night Raw went off the air with a dark match that featured Cody Rhodes.

As seen below, Cody faced Kevin Owens after the show went off the air. Cody won the match in about 6 minutes. At one point during the match, KO taunted Cody with the Young Bucks pose.

The Rock’s mother, Ata Johnson, was in attendance at ringside and she held Owens while Cody hit chops to the chest and his bionic elbow. Rhodes won the match with the Cross Rhodes and then Rhodes grabbed the mic and said goodnight to the fans.

The “fan” mentioned in the clip below is Ata Johnson.

WrestleMania: Steve Austin wrestled an actual match against Kevin Owens.

Advertisements

WWE WrestleMania 38 closed with the KO Show segment with Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

There were massive boos and “Austin” chants when Owens grabbed the microphone. Owens started out by talking about the things he said about Austin and Texas. Owens said Texas would be the ass of North America. Owens then apologized to all Texans for telling the “absolute God’s honest truth about your pathetic state.”

KO said he would introduce his guest when he was ready. He proceeded to call Austin the worst role model in the history of WWE and he will look him in the eye to say how much he sucks because he won’t do a ‘damn thing’ and he’ll sit in the chair and take it. He also teased that he would pour bear on his “stupid bald head.”

The glass broke and Austin made his way out to the stage. He wore his classic 3:16 shirt and jean shorts. Austin teased walking down to the ring but he walked out to get his 4 wheeler and he rode it around the ring. Austin destroyed the set as he went around to do his corner poses on the turnbuckle but KO cut the music off to say that he wouldn’t let Austin take over his show.

Austin and KO sat in their seats and the interview got started. Austin called out Owens for looking like a jackass and running down the great state of Texas “you stupid son of a bitch.” KO said Texas is hot in the summer and flat and uninspiring. He said the people of Texas wear dumb belt buckles and the people are dumb. KO said he would have moved to Mexico if he was forced to grow up in Texas.

KO told Austin not to be the stereotypical, crude, impolite Texan and he will be the bigger man. KO told Austin that he lied about wanting a talk. KO said he wants a fight. He challenged Austin to a match. He said Austin’s back, knees, and neck were bad 19 years ago and he won’t accept but he would love a No Holds Barred match right now. KO said Austin knows he can’t beat him. He said Austin should stop embarrassing himself and he can get on his little golf cart and back to his “stupid ranch.”

Austin looked around as the crowd cheered. Austin said he had his first match in Dallas, Texas and he could have his last match in Dallas, Texas. Austin asked for a “hell yea” if the fans wanted to see him against “this sack of shit.” Austin asked for a referee to get the match started. The bell rang and they stood face to face. They traded punches and Austin stomped the mudhole. Austin whipped KO into the turnbuckle and he fell on his back. Austin drank a beer and then stomped Owens in the other corner of the ring. Austin then tossed KO out of the ring. Austin reversed an Irish whip and hit KO with a clothesline. Austin dropped him on the barricade and then he raked the eyes as fans chanted “you still got it.” KO then sent Austin’s head into the ring post.

KO pulled a table from under the ring, KO tried to send him into it but Austin reversed and KO’s back crashed through the table. Austin tossed KO into the crowd and they brawled. Austin attempted a suplex on the floor but KO countered and he suplexed Austin. The brawl continued and Owens kneed Austin in the stomach. They made their way back to ringside. KO tried a dive off the barricade but Austin caught him and slammed him through the announcer’s table. Austin drank some beer and then punched KO on top of the table. Austin drank some more beer and spit it on KO. KO tried to escape on the 4 wheeler but Austin caught him with punches to the back. Austin got on the 4 wheeler and drove to the stage so he and Owens could brawl there. Austin hit KO with a suplex on the stage. He brought him to the other side of the stage and did it again.

Austin brought KO back into the ring and then he drank some more beer. KO hit the stunner and he went for the pin but Austin kicked out. Austin went to use a chair but it bounced off the rope and onto his head. Austin hit the stunner and pinned Owens. Owens was escorted out to the back by Dallas police as Austin celebrated with a lot of beer. Austin grabbed the mic and said it’s good to be from Dallas, Texas because that’s the bottom line, Cause Stone Cold Said So.

Austin invited Byron Saxton into the ring so they could drink and so he could give Saxton the stunner. Austin’s brother went in the ring to have a beer and to hug his brother. Austin did not embarrass himself at all.

Kevin Owens get emotional about fighting Stone Cold | Video

Advertisements

Kevin Owens is slated to have a lifelong dream come true when he steps into the ring with WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for a KO show segment in the main event of tonight’s WWE WrestleMania 38 – night 1 event.

This isn’t being hyped as an official match, but rather a confrontation. WWE wanted Austin to come back for an actual bout and it will be unclear if they do actually wrestle until it’s time for the segment. The expectation is that they will get physical at the very least.

Owens took to Twitter to post a video about the importance of this moment and got emotional just thinking about it towards the end.

“I’ve been doing this for 22 years. I’ve had a lot of absolutely amazing moments throughout those 22 years, but I really can’t put into words what I am feeling right now because in less than 24 hours I’m going to be in the ring in the main event of WrestleMania for a Kevin Owens Show, something I created with Stone Cold Steve Austin. I’ll be in the ring in the main event of WrestleMania with Stone Cold Steve Austin and that’s….I’ll see y’all there.”

Kevin Owens expresses how Triple H’s retirement would cost him.

Advertisements

Kevin Owens stopped by the “Ringer Wrestling Show” ahead of WrestleMania to give his thoughts on Triple H, the origins of the KO shirt, and who he believes are future prospects.

Kevin Owens was asked to give his thoughts on Triple H:

“Obviously it sucks that he didn’t get to retire in the ring the way he should have, but he’s obviously making the best decision for himself and his family,” Owens said.

“He’s done more for me than anyone’s ever done in my career. I can say that safely. I always wanted to get in the ring with him. I always wanted to wrestle him.”

“I got to team with him a few times, which was awesome. I never got to be on the opposite side of the ring.”

Owens on the origins of his KO shirt:

“I thought, ‘Oh, we need something cool’, and KO Mania kind of rolled off the tongue,” he revealed.

“So I just started saying it. Then the merch people were like, ‘Maybe there’s a shirt for it’, and I was like, ‘Okay, let’s do it.’”

Owens talking about who he thinks are the next prospects coming up:

“The one name that comes to mind is actually somebody pretty surprising, and it’s not somebody I’d go fight, because he’s not a fighter, but I really get a huge kick out of him. His name is Malcolm Bivens. I’ve enjoyed him for years and I think he’s doing great,” Kevin said.

“Actually, the Creed brothers are pretty awesome every time I see them, and Ivy Nile, like, he’s got a great crew. So those are the people that stand out to me right now. Bivens is at the forefront and I think he helps everybody in his crew.”

Ronda Rousey not told Stone Cold would close WrestleMania Saturday.

Advertisements

Noble Reporters Media reported earlier this week that Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin would close out WrestleMania Saturday. That was later confirmed when Owen referred to his KO Show segment as the main event of the show. Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Owens was told to refer to his segment with Austin as the main event so that was not an ad-lib.

Meltzer said, “If you remember, Kevin Owens was scripted to say that he is in the main event. On Monday night, he was very clearly in the main event on Monday night. He didn’t say that off the cuff. He was told ‘you say that.’ Tuesday, Ronda Rousey is on Ellen Degeneres and she says she’s in the main event on Saturday against Charlotte Flair. So I’m thinking, wow it’s probably Kevin Owens. I know he was scripted on Raw and they probably never told Ronda because the plan all along from the day of the Royal Rumble until close to Monday, because even mid-week it was still Ronda Rousey in the main event – I’m guessing that they never told Ronda that they’ve changed it.”

Meltzer added, “Vince is going back and forth, nobody knows and who knows. When Kevin made that proclamation, shouldn’t that be like the decision and shouldn’t Ronda be aware of that? Well, it keeps going back and forth, Vince keeps changing his mind. Whatever happens, it keeps going back and forth.”

WWE has made small changes to the line-up in the last couple of weeks and changes can be expected all the way up to the day of the show. Officially, KO and Austin is the main event on Saturday but there’s still time for that to change

Kevin Owens shares when he learned about plans for Stone Cold’s return

Advertisements

Kevin Owens has been feuding with Steve Austin for the last month to build to a confrontation on the KO Show at WWE WrestleMania 38.

Owens had been teaming with Seth Rollins on WWE Raw earlier this year and started taking shots at Texas, the host state for WrestleMania and home state of Austin. Owens invited Austin to join him on the KO Show and Austin accepted the invitation on March 8th.

Speaking to Pat LaPrade of TVA Sports, Owens noted that he found out about Austin’s return and plans for the feud back in January.

“Usually, in November I start asking questions, to try to find ideas and see if they have ideas. This year, I took a different approach. I had just signed my contract, I had my history with Seth Rollins so I thought to myself that I was in a good position. So I started asking questions in January and when I spoke to Vince (McMahon), he was the one who told me that his plan was to bring Austin back for a night and that would be with me. I was super happy! When it’s not 100% announced, things can always change. But one week before the event, I fully realize it and I can’t wait,” exclaimed Owens.

It was first reported in February that WWE had made overtures towards Austin for a return. It’s not being billed an official match, but Austin has promised to unleash one more can of whoop-ass on Owens.

Vince McMahon reveal why he wanted me to stay at WWE – Kevin Owens.

Advertisements

Kevin Owens decided to re-sign with WWE last December as his contract was slated to expire this past January. The former WWE Universal Champion will be part of the WWE roster for the foreseeable future after inking the multi-year deal that will make him one of the highest-paid wrestlers in the company.

While speaking with ESPN to promote WrestleMania 38 where he is slated to meet Steve Austin on the KO Show for a confrontation, Owens noted that a big part in him deciding to stay with WWE was Vince McMahon making it clear that he wanted him to stay.

“Well, a big part of it, honestly, was that Vince McMahon made it pretty clear to me that he wanted me to stay. I’ve been in WWE for seven years at this point. I have a lot of friends everywhere else in wrestling, but there is a whole side of WWE that people don’t get to see, whether it’s the production crew or the camera people, the stage manager, the creative team, all these people. They’re all very special people and they’re a part of my family. My extended family now. My professional family, if you want to call it that. Those were all factors that led to me staying put because Vince made it clear he wanted me to stay. It feels like my home and all those other people there. If I wasn’t there, I wouldn’t get to see anymore and that was just like. It just seemed like the right move. That’s really all there is to it.”

WrestleMania: WWE may be having change of plans on Kevin Owens & Stone Cold versus.

Advertisements

Earlier this week, it was reported by Reddit insider kerrmit125 that WWE’s plan is to have the Kevin Owens-Stone Cold Steve Austin segment close out WrestleMania Saturday (night 1).

On WWE.com, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey are the main wrestlers listed on WrestleMania ads but other ads have Steve Austin featured as the main star.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that some minor changes have been made to the show and according to those in WWE, Flair vs. Rousey was scheduled to close the show. That was the word as of this week but it was noted that the match orders change frequently and will continue to change until the day of the show.

The only thing that has been locked in from the start is Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar closing out WrestleMania Sunday (night 1).

In regards to WrestleMania Saturday, Dave Meltzer wrote the following:

“It would go against tradition to have a non-match go last, but if you think about it, the Owens-Austin segment probably should go last because it would be the biggest thing on the show and be expected to get the best reaction. Putting it in the middle would peak the show early and putting it next to last would risk having people leave or heat being down for the Flair vs. Rousey match, especially if it’s late.”
