One of the spokespersons for the Tinubu, Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has claimed his presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has no ruling-party advantage in the forthcoming election.
Keyamo also said the opposition should be prepared to accept defeat in good faith.
He wrote, “Since the opposition assumes that the NAIRA redesign policy is targeted at @officialABAT by the ‘powers-that-be’, it’s safe to assume that they now agree that BAT has no ruling-party advantage in this election. In that case, let them be prepared to take their defeat in good faith.”
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has reacted to Festus Keyamo’s description of him as a “political prostitute and backstabber.’”
Dogara said he also has an uncomplimentary name for Keyamo.
His statement was contained in a post via his Twitter handle on Sunday.
Recall with 𝕹𝖔𝖇𝖑𝖊 𝕽𝖊𝖕𝖔𝖗𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖆 that Keyamo, a Minister of State for Labour and Employment, and spokesman for the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Council, had in a Tweet on Sunday morning called Dogara a “political prostitute, wanderer and back-stabber.”
Keyamo was reacting to Dogara’s statement in which he referred to President Muhammadu Buhari’s endorsement of Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, at a campaign in Nasarawa State, as a mockery.
Keyamo wrote: “My brother and law schoolmate, @YakubDogara, this tweet is beneath you. You are actually pained by the support of PMB for @officialABAT, two leaders who have stayed true to their beliefs and causes, unlike the political prostitute, wanderer & back-stabber that you’ve always been.”
However, Dogara fired back at Keyamo: “My brother, I have a name for you but because it’s not a good one, I won’t say it as a cost of friendship. Yes, we were mates at Law School but I am waiting for you to win a councilorship election first so we can be mates in politics. Learn to punch below your weight category.”
One of the spokespersons for the Bola Tinubu, Shettima Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has described the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as a ‘political prostitute’.
Keyamo made the statement on Sunday in a post via his verified Twitter handle.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment was reacting to a post by Dogara on his Twitter handle.
Dogara had referred to President Muhammadu Buhari’s endorsement of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, at a campaign in Nasarawa State as a mockery.
“I know that PMB loves to crack jokes but I didn’t know he will escalate it to the level of satire. Asiwaju’ll give his best to Nigeria, really? Fake certificates, fake parentage, golden triangle escapades, racketeering. No PMB, Nigeria does not deserve his best but we get the satire,” Dogara said.
However, Keyamo took to his Twitter handle calling out Dogara as a wanderer and back-stabber.
He wrote, “My brother and law school mate, @YakubDogara, this tweet is beneath you. You are actually pained by the support of PMB for @officialABAT, two leaders who have stayed true to their beliefs and causes, unlike the political prostitute, wanderer and back-stabber that you’ve always been.”
A spokesperson for the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Festus Keyamo has vowed to sue the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar over alleged money laundering and related offences.
“I am going to court. If they (PDP) wish this thing away, it won’t go away,” Keyamo, a serving Minister of State for Labour and Employment, said on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Tuesday.
In a viral video, a whistleblower, one Michael Achimugu alleged that Atiku used Special Purpose Vehicles to usurp funds as vice-president between 1999 and 2007.
Keyamo and the APC campaign council subsequently petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Conduct of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and gave them 72 hours to arrest the former vice president over corruption allegations.
A spokesman for Atiku’s campaign, Dino Melayo later described the allegations against his principal as a fairy tale, adding that the council won’t engage the APC on the matter.

However, Keyamo said, “We will know whether there is fairytales when we get to court.
“In the case when they challenged my principal (Bola Tinubu), when they brought up dead documents from the US, I said go to court. Come out with your full chest and go to court. Up until today they ran away. I am going to court. If they wish this thing away, it won’t go away.”
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria said he is prepared to face persecution if Atiku wins the February 25, 2023 presidential poll but said he would go to court.
“Whether Atiku Abubakar wins or not (of course, I know he is not going to win), I’m prepared to face persecution under his government. I am prepared to go to jail, I am prepared to be charged even if he wins the election,” he said.
He also said the country deserves to recover all funds allegedly diverted because they are public funds.
“The Nigerian people deserve justice on this issue. Every single money that was paid into that Marine Float Account must be recovered from whoever is the person. Nigeria must recover its money. Money paid into that account was public funds,” he stated.
Other agencies he petitioned to arrest and prosecute Atiku are the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, and the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB.
“#ATIKUGATE: Receipt of my petition by three law-enforcement agencies”, the minister wrote.
Keyamo alleged offences of money laundering, criminal breach of trust, criminal misappropriation, and conspiracy against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The APC PCC spokesperson asked the anti-graft agencies to take action against Atiku within 72 hours.
Keyamo recalled that since last week, “Nigerians have been in shock” over the revelations of a whistleblower, Michael Achimugu who provided “evidence” against Atiku.
He noted that Achimugu, a former aide to the ex-Vice President, presented emails, documents, audio clips, sworn affidavit and direct oral evidence.
Keyamo said the evidence showed Atiku “colluded with his then boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo, to fleece the country and steal public funds using what he termed as Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).”
According to him: “Those SPVs were companies Atiku admittedly registered upon assumption of office as Vice President (with the approval of President Olusegun Obasanjo) using “trusted allies” as shareholders and Directors.
“The purpose was to divert government contracts to these companies as “consultants” and then pay monies into these companies and use those monies to fund the PDP and their private businesses and family activities.”
Noting that he understood the agencies may be reluctant to act because of the perception of persecution of a presidential candidate, Keyamo insists “facts are sacred.”
“The facts so far presented to the world clearly indicate that Atiku Abubakar has a case to answer,” Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), added.
The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo has again taken a swipe at former President Olusegun Obasanjo, saying he is using ‘Emi Lo Kan’ to endorse the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi. (Watch Video Here)
‘Emi Lokan’ was popularised by the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu in his June 2022 address in Abeokuta, Ogun State as he pushed for the party’s ticket then.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Keyamo said Tinubu was not addressing Nigerians by saying it was his turn to govern Nigeria. He stated that the APC presidential candidate was talking to the party’s delegates instead.
“We saw in Emi Lo Kan, he was not talking to Nigerians. He was speaking to APC delegates in Ogun State where he said ‘look, if you want to say those who have invested in this party, it is my turn,’” Keyamo stated. (Watch Video Here)
“Give me the chance to fly the flag of this party. Was he talking to Nigerians? He was not but yet they keep repeating it 1,000 times so that they will look as if he is talking to Nigerians and claiming some kind of moral high grounds.
“Obasanjo too was also using Emi Lo Kan in another sense. He was saying that it is the turn of some other people to produce the presidency and that is why he is endorsing somebody.”
Obasanjo had on January 1 backed Obi as his preferred contestant for the 2023 general elections, describing the former Anambra State Governor as his mentee who has an edge in next month’s polls. (Watch Video Here)
“None of the contestants is a saint but when one compares their character, antecedent, their understanding, knowledge, discipline, and vitality that they can bring to bear and the great efforts required to stay focused on the job, particularly looking at where the country is today and with the experience on the job that I personally had, Peter Obi as a mentee has an edge,” he stated.
Amid allegations of drug trafficking, the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign team, Festus Keyamo, has disclosed that authorities of the United State, US, government has linked 10 bank accounts to the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu in the early 90s.
Keyamo said the United States Government had deducted $460,000 from one of the accounts as a tax on investments.
He disclosed this while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Wednesday.
A court document reportedly indicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering recently surfaced online.
The document released by the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Tinubu was investigated for money laundering and drug trafficking 30 years ago.

Speaking on the issue, Keyamo said the APC presidential candidate was responsible for the accounts, but some were traced to his mother and “relatives.”
He said: “The US government said he had not paid tax on those interests. That is all and guess what? The banks are supposed to deduct the tax from source.
“Out of the 10 accounts, it was only one account – the one in Heritage Bank – that they took $460,000 as tax on interest that he benefited from the investment he made in those accounts.
“In fact, all the money in Heritage Bank was not taken; they took only $460,000 as tax.”

The former ruling party had filed the suit seeking to invalidate the outcome of APC’s national convention.
In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CR/389/2022, the opposition party urged the court to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising or having any business whatsoever with the APC as a registered political party.
