“It is true that the government requires funds! There is no such thing as a society that has developed without people paying taxes. Last year, Anambra’s total tax contribution as revenue was barely N20 billion, which is insufficient for the massive road construction we have begun, let alone other sectors.

“Nobody likes paying taxes, but we’ve started a tax revolution. Our main challenge is being harassed by touts and being taxed multiple times.

“The vast majority of what you pay goes into private pockets and never reaches the government.

“We called this meeting because some of the things we designed to work aren’t working as we intended.

“Our nine months in office has been a journey to serve ndi Anambra and transform the state into a liveable and prosperous homeland that we promised our people.

“The first key agenda of our five major pillars happens to relate to security, law and order and this is the aspect that I want to specifically talk about, to say to our people, where we were at the time I was sworn into office on the 17th of March 2022 and where we are today, which shows the difference between day and night. (Watch Video Here)

“On the 17th of March 2022, eight local governments were literally under seige, taken over by criminals and hoodlums in various camps set up in these local governments.

“But by the grace of God, those 8 local governments have been totally liberated. Law and order seems to be returning back to Anambra. All the camps have been decimated and some of the deadly criminals have been taken out for good,” Soludo asserted. (Watch Video Here)

“Few days ago, we had over eighty of these touts ‘agberos’ harassing people around Upper Iweka and environs, taken into custody and to be prosecuted and probably jailed.

“We are trying to keep our streets safe from touts and criminals. Though we may never have a crime free society but comparatively, I don’t know any state in Nigeria that is safer than Anambra.

“I want to commend all the citizens of Anambra and the stakeholders who (Watch Video Here) hearkened to our call that ‘If you see something, say something, if you say something, do something’. And to our youths who have taken the destiny of this state into their hands; to our women and men who had contributed in assisting government to get hold of criminals in the state. Thank you all.

“Two weeks ago, one criminal in far away Finland declared five days sit at home but ndi Anambra defied the order! Not a single day was observed.

“Thousands of our people returned back home for Christmas and that is why the streets are all busy. (Watch Video Here)

“I want to commend our special task forces that we set up to ensure free flow of traffic. In recent decades, this is the first time we have the most free flow of traffic in the state,” Governor Soludo noted.

“I saw a video of the traffic at Head Bridge and people where manning the place 24 hours a day, and the other locations at Nnobi, Ekwulobia, Nkpor, Awka, Abagana, 33 Onitsha, etc, to ensure that our people move freely. (Watch Video Here)

“I want to commend the security agencies, the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency, the OCHA Brigade, the Vigilante Services, the Anambra youths who have volunteered to serve our people, to keep our streets safe, restore law and order.

“I want to use this occasion to specially appreciate the law enforcement agencies; the Nigerian Police, the Navy, the DSS, the Civil Defense and of course, our very gallant Anambra Vigilante Services and all the volunteers. (Watch Video Here)

“To all the ndi Anambra who have risen up to the occasion, helping to organize the local vigilantes, providing logistics, donation to the security trust fund and those helping in their own little ways to make sure we have a safer homeland.

“There is still work to be done, there are still challenges and all hands must continue to be on deck,” Governor Soludo pointed out. (Watch Video Here)

“I want to commend all the armed forces who put their lives on the line to have our people sleep with their two eyes closed.

“All those who have paid the supreme sacrifice just to keep Anambra safe, several of them died needlessly I must say. May their souls rest in peace.

“These criminals wants the security officers out of the road but fortunately, we thank God that they have remained resolute. (Watch Video Here)

“We will continue to provide all the support that we can to all the security forces as government and as a people of Anambra.

“What they are doing, the sacrifices that they make their commitments and FOBs, we will continue to strengthen them and make them even stronger to keep our people safe and secured.

“In normal circumstances, these road blocks wouldn’t have been needed but this is what we brought up on ourselves. (Watch Video Here)

“Our people taking up arms in the bushes, involved in criminality so to speak. Since they have decided to operate in an abnormal way, we now need abnormal solution.

“We are not always the most confident but the most effective in this circumstance and until the insecurity situation comes down to near zero, we will continue to have the road blocks and FOBs in place.

“I want to thank every ndi Anambra who have been involved. Everyone has a role to play in the road ahead. (Watch Video Here)

“The youths must rise and take their destinies into their hands because their future is on the line, the future of their children and grandchildren. It is your future we are keeping awake everyday to secure.

“I want to use this medium again to appeal to those in the bush and forest, the criminals out there, the kidnappers to come out. We are offering them the opportunity to retrain them and help them start a new productive life. (Watch Video Here)

“The course you have taken by being in the bush is one that leads to nowhere. It is not going to take you to anywhere. Criminality cannot pay you in the long term,” Soludo concluded.

Anambra: How we rigged polls for Soludo – Man alleges

Advertisements

A suspect, one Anthony Onuoha, who was arrested by the Ebonyi State police command over alleged car theft, on Thursday, confessed to having worked with over 30 election riggers during last year’s Anambra election in favour of Prof. Charles Soludo.

Onuoha, who was paraded alongside other suspects, alleged that they were hired by one Uche General, to rig the governorship election for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

The suspect alleged that they were given a car and fifty thousand naira after the election.

According to him: “Last year November, a car was given to me after governor Soludo’s election, because I was involved as one of the 30 persons that were kept in one place to work for APGA. We were promised to be given a car and fifty thousand naira after the election.

“What attracted me to work for APGA was the car and not the fifty thousand naira. I went to Anambra State that November; I was picked by one Mr. Uche General, I don’t know his surname. Uche General was the one in charge of the section.”

“The role I played there was that we were kept at Awka North to thumbprint ballot papers on that day of the election. We thumb-printed for APGA governorship candidate, Charles Soludo, and we agreed that at the end of the day, we will be given a car and fifty thousand naira, which they did.

“We are nine persons that were given a car out of over thirty persons that were hired for the job. This car was given to me by them and the fifty thousand naira to fuel it,” he alleged.

However, in a swift reaction, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, who spoke to DAILY POST through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, said the suspect, Onuoha, should be made to face the wrath of the law.

Soludo denied having any deal with the suspect during the last Anambra State election.

According to him: “The police should take full wrath of the law against the suspect. We don’t know him, he is just telling lies to get off the hook. He is a common criminal and nobody knows him. Moreover, it was BVAS that was used during that last year election in Anambra State. So, where did they do the thumbprinting?

“We don’t know him. We don’t know who he is. He must be a criminal and that is why he is in the police net. APGA won an election that was declared the most free and fair election in Nigeria.”

“There was no such thumbprinting in that Anambra election. It was BVAS that INEC deployed in that election. We don’t know that guy, the governor of Anambra State does not know him. And APGA as a political party does not know him. The guy is on his own and he should face and carry his cross,” he stressed

Soludo terminates road contract in Anambra over alleged incompetence.

Advertisements

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has terminated a road contract in Aguata Local Government Area, over alleged incompetence and delay in delivery by the contractor.

Though the name of the company handling the contract was not mentioned, a video of the governor’s visit to the site has been making the rounds on the internet.

In the video, Soludo who paid an unscheduled visit on Sunday to the road construction site referred to the company as useless and lacking the capacity to deliver the job.

The governor speaking to the project manager at the project site said: “Just take off all these things (equipment) because this contract has been terminated. I just called the commissioner for works and I have told him that this contract has been terminated.

“See what you are doing. I have terminated the contract, and you are supposed to return the money you were paid. Useless company! We gave you this contract on the basis that you are an indigenous company but see what you are doing. This is what we see. You blocked the entire highway and nobody can pass. Now, I am going to my hometown, how do I go? This is a federal highway.

“For months, you blocked the road, even for people to pass through the other highway, you blocked the road.

“This job was supposed to have been finished in October, and that was the contract you were given. Other companies that were given the same contracts like you have all delivered.”

The governor refused to heed any plea from the obviously concerned project manager, as he rejected explanations that the road had peculiarities that made it difficult to deliver at the appropriate time.

“There are other very difficult terrains, and the contractors have delivered. I have terminated the contract and there is nothing you can tell me about it. Take off all your equipment from this place and move out because another person is coming to take over the job. If you continue, it is at your own risk because we are not paying you a dime, instead, we are asking for a refund.”

Anambra: HURIWA attacks Soludo over choking tax policies.

Advertisements

Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has warned that the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo’s ‘taxation regime’ is making life unbearable and pushing more residents of the State into poverty.

According to HURIWA, Soludo’s ‘utopian’ mindset and policies cannot work for Anambra people

HURIWA, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, said rather than yield profits, Governor Soludo’s taxation policy is pushing more residents of the South-East State into poverty.

Watch Video Here | Download Video Here

The group told Soludo to jettison extreme Central Bank-like policies which it said are not workable for the people of Anambra State.

HURIWA noted that since his inauguration on March 17, 2022, the former CBN governor had introduced various kinds of taxes on the poor in Anambra.
.
Commenting, HURIWA’s Onwubiko said, “The approach of Governor Soludo is most unfortunate because he has largely targeted the poor with his regime of unbearable taxation instead of the rich who have perfected the art and act of evading taxes in hundreds of millions of naira.

“The governor’s heavy taxation on the poor is akin to muzzling the ox when it is treading out the grain which is unrealistic and unnatural.

“Now some tricycle operators have reportedly become ‘part-time’ armed robbers robbing some unsuspecting members of the public, maybe in their warped attempt to remain in business by meeting up the unattainable heavy taxes they pay to Governor Soludo’s obnoxious tax collectors.

“With an estimated population of about 5,084,195 and a Gross Domestic Product of about N5.5tn, as well as a projected Internally Generated Revenue of N48bn in 2023, Anambra is not Lagos with a projected IGR of N1.1tn in 2023 as erroneously compared by Governor Soludo during his recent budget presentation.

“Governor Soludo’s desperation surfaced recently when he asked sons and daughters of the soil working in other States but with residences in Anambra to remit their taxes to the State government.

“Governor Soludo should stop comparing Anambra to Lagos to justify his desperation to tax the poor to death; he should rather focus on the extremely rich and average individuals who are not in the tax net.”

The rights group wondered why Soludo, who boasted to have global connections during the campaign, is now pushing mostly the poor Anambra people into commercial extinction with all kinds of taxes.

“This is because his anti-poor tax regime has impoverished more residents of the State,” the group added.

The human rights advocacy group, therefore, called on the Governor Soludo administration to effect a swift change of governance and adopt a more people-friendly approach that will lift up the poor.

Obi: Soludo’s outburst driven by hatred, selfish interest – LP

Advertisements

The Labour Party has reacted to the verbal attack on Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate by Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State.

Soludo drew the hornet’s nest when he declared that Obi knew he would not win the election but was merely playing drama.

Watch Video Here | Download Video Here

Several angry reactions have since trailed the outburst.

In a statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday, signed by Chief Innocent Sunday Okeke (Duru Agumba), National Vice Chairman, South East, Labour Party, he said Soludo had allowed hatred and selfishness becloud his sense of reasoning.

Okeke said the Anambra Governor, who was hitherto highly respected had now diminished himself owing to the tirade against Obi.

“Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is highly respected and adored by Ndi Igbo as one of the shining lights and great academia from the highly rich culture of the Igbo great kingdom.

“He achieved just like many Igbo great men of today coming from the background of nothing to becoming a human dynamo.

“He was neither born with a silver spoon nor did he descend from blue blood, but he broke the jinx of poverty. From his rustic village of Isuofia in Aguata LGA of Anambra state, he rose and flew across the world to live his dreams.

“With these, Ndi Igbo and the whole of Nigeria see him as one of the great Igbo leaders with dignity and respect.

“But just like the story of the crumbling packs, Professor Soludo has started somersaulting from his pinnacle of dignity and respect, falling short of the expectations of the people who looked up to him to be a shining example of the new Igbo leader.

“Soludo, an astute professor of high repute, allowed his narrow-minded nature to betray him,” he stated.

Okeke added that “hate is a wicked state of mind that when possessed can becloud one’s normal sense of reasoning. And this is exactly what played out in Prof. Soludo’s unreasonable outburst on Peter Obi’s Anambra government investment in 2014.

“Soludo through his hate for Peter Obi was quick to forget that the investment and the fiscal savings came together. The incontrovertible fact remains that Obi saved for the future of his state (Anambra) N75b naira, $50m in each of the three existing commercial banks of today, and 3.5b in the International Brewery.

“He handed over this investment to a new manager (governor), who has never denied knowledge of the investments. Whether the manager (governor) took good care of the investment is another day’s discussion. And the former handed over to Soludo, now Soludo casting aspersions on Mr. Obi after 9 years he left office with verifiable savings and investment is uncalled for and condemnable by the entire Igbo race and Nigeria at large.

“The international brewery as we know it today employing 10,000 Anambrarians is not a bad investment and the depreciation of stocks is a Nigerian issue that have affected every company’s stock

Watch Video Here | Download Video Here

“Soludo should have employed the wisdom of silence even if he so much hated Mr. Obi, but for the sake of the Nigerian project stand with the mass of the people.”

He advised the Governor to watch it going forward and avoid creating serious embarrassment for himself and governance, considering that he also needs the support of the people to achieve.

Ikenga said Police operatives have been deployed to the scene, and that normalcy has been restored in the area, while Nwosu urged Indigenes to alert security officials when they notice security breaches.

Nwosu said: “A gang of gunmen struck the Nigerian Army checkpoint at Afor-Uzo Junction, Isuofia, this morning. Unfortunately for the hoodlums, they met their Waterloo.

“Our gallant and alert security agents who gave them a hot chase immediately returned fire and neutralised four of the gang members in a fierce exchange of shootings. Their Toyota Avenza with which they launched the deadly operation was recovered.”

The tax policies of the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has come under intense focus again.

DAILY POST reports that last Friday, there was pandemonium at Kings Planet International School as gun wielding security operatives invaded the school, on the pretext of enforcing tax payment.

Also, foodstuff traders in Awka have protested the high tax imposed on them, threatening to stop operations in Anambra if the practice was not stopped.

The management of Kingsplanet International School, Awka, on Tuesday protested the action of the security operatives, alleging that its staff and pupils were bullied, while others were traumatised.

Noble Reporters Media gathered that the incident happened last Friday, as an enforcement team from the Anambra State Signage Agency (ANSAA) in the company of gun wielding security men invaded the school to enforce the payment of N100,000 for signages belonging to the school.

When DAILY POST visited the school, some members of staff of the school, which runs a creche, nursery and primary arm, confirmed the incident, saying that the school was in session last weekend, when the team arrived.

“Because they were carrying guns, we decided to close the doors of the classrooms, to avoid the children seeing gun-wielding security men barging into the school premises, but the security men forced the classroom rooms open and commanded all the children to leave, saying that they have orders to shut the school.

“All the children were crying and running helter-skelter, including the creche section, which consists of very tender kids, but they showed no mercy at all.

“In the process of the pandemonium in the school, there was power outage, but we tried to put on the generator, so we can use the CCTV in the school to monitor the movement of the children, but the security men refused,” said Modesta Odu, a teaching staff of the school.

The assistant manager of the school, Mr Emmanuel Emeka, lamented the level of trauma experienced by the pupils as a result of the incident.

“We begged them not to go ahead with their action as it will traumatise the kids, but they refused. You needed to be here to see how security men overran this place.

“Most parents who heard of it moved in to withdraw their children. Up till this moment, some of the children still feel bad when we have visitors in the school. We had to reach out to some parents to beg them to bring back their children.

“We are really disappointed if this is how the Soludo government intends to go about tax. The team were in our school earlier to demand payment of N100,000 for four signboards. We told them we didn’t have up to that number of signboards, so they left, saying they will verify and get back, and the next thing we saw was the security men.”

The school management called on the Anambra State Governor to rein in the excesses of some of his aides.

When DAILY POST reached out to the Managing Director of ANSAA, Mr Tony Ujubuonu, he insisted that the enforcement was as a result of a court order obtained against the school.

He alleged that the proprietor of the school has been maligning the agency on social media over the enforcement, but insisted that the Anambra State government will not relent in ensuring that the right thing was done.

Meanwhile, foodstuff dealers in Anambra State on Thursday protested heavy taxation imposed on them by the State government. The traders threatened to stop supply of goods to the State if the government continued with the tax regime. They alleged that the State government had been imposing heavy taxes on them for bringing in foodstuff to the State from the north.

The Chairman of Eke Awka Foodstuff Dealers Association, Mr Chukwuemeka Onyemechi, during a peaceful protest on Thursday said some hoodlums allegedly working with government’s agents came to the market and stopped them from off-loading their goods unless they paid N30,000 per truck as against N8,000.

“They also insisted that we pay N20,000 for a truck with six tyres as against N5,000 and the sum of N6,000 for a Datsun truck as against N500 per truck. After the off-loading of goods, smaller trucks were forced to pay N3,000 as against N300 before the goods would be allowed to leave the market,” he lamented.

The traders would not be the first to complain about the tax policies of the State government.

A lawyer, Mr Jude Eze who spoke on the perceived excessive tax said: “I do not think this is the best thing for the governor to do. Nigerians are not so exposed to taxes, so they need to be pampered and not this kind of chastisement we see everyday in the State.

“Soludo must realise that the economy is very hard, so he cannot be billing the people for waste, business premises, and several others, just because he needs money, which he told us he can get from relevant agencies, during his governorship campaigns.”

The former Central Bank Governor made the plea on Thursday during his presentation of the state’s 2023 Budget Estimates to the State House of Assembly in Awka.

He decried the poor tax payment culture in Nigeria, noting that Anambra is one of the states with very poor tax revenue.

He further added, “Anambra is probably one of the states with the least tax revenue in the world. For comparison, Lagos State projects to generate N1.1tn from IGR in 2023 coming to almost N100bn a month…Anambra’s IGR for 2023 will be barely 4.4% of Lagos State IGR.”

Soludo bans factional Awka monarch from parading self.

Advertisements

Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has banned the factional king of Awka Kingdom, Chief Austin Ndigwe from parading himself as monarch.

Soludo in a press release by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr Paul Nwosu, said the duly recognised monarch of Awka Kingdom is Obi Gibson Nwosu.

There was commotion in Awka on Saturday morning, when a detachment of police and military men sealed the palace of Ndigwe who was billed to celebrate the community’s new yam festival.

The security operatives chased away guests and also shot canisters of teargas into the crowd, causing the guests to scamper for safety, leaving some wounded.

The release by Nwosu according to many was a confirmation that the security operatives were acting on the orders of the state governor.

The release read in part: “It has come to the attention of Anambra State government that one Augustine Ndigwe, Alias Uzu Awka is parading himself as the authentic traditional ruler of Awka.

“Not only that, he is also taking steps to perform one of the major harvest seasons traditional rites known as New Yam festival, thereby threatening the peace and tranquility of the town. The state government will not tolerate this.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the state government wishes to state emphatically that the only recognized traditional ruler is His Royal Highness, Obi Gibson Nwosu, Eze Uzu II, whose recognition by the state government has not been withdrawn, and is the only one empowered by section 15 of the traditional rulers law of Anambra State, to preside over such festival or carry out the function of a traditional ruler in Awka.

“It is a criminal offence for any other person to do so, by virtue of section 20 of the traditional rulers law of Anambra State 2007.”

Nwosu in the release said the said Ndigwe is not the traditional ruler of Awka Kingdom and should henceforth, desist from portraying himself as the traditional ruler of Awka or attempting to usurp the rights of a duly recognised traditional ruler.

“Any such unlawful act in any part of the state would not be condoned by the state government, and the state would not hesitate to sanction the impostor according to the relevant laws of Anambra State.”

Update: Protesters beg Soludo to ‘nay’ community name change.

Advertisements

Some members of Nkerehi community in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State have rejected the change of their community’s name from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu.

The protesters who were at the Government House, Awka to bring their grouses to the knowledge of the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo said they have been in bondage in their own land.

They alleged that a certain influential member of their community was using his wealth to intimidate many members of the community, including unilaterally changing the name of the community from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu.

The protesters who were led by Basil Igwike and the secretary general of Nkerehi Progressive Union, Mr Joseph Anunobi begged Soludo to intervene in the crisis rocking the community.

Igwike who addressed government officials while being received alongside the protesters at the government house lamented that besides clandestinely changing the name of the town, the traditional stool of the community has been cornered for one family, even though it is not hereditary.

“Mr Governor, we are here as our brother from the same area with you, to beg you to intervene. How would you feel if someone woke up one day and says your name is no longer your name?

“Nkerehi is the name our forefathers have borne since the olden days but one man came up and changed it to Umuchukwu.

“We are here to beg you to please intervene. We have also heard that government plans to issue a certificate of recognition to a monarch that was not elected by our community.

“We have written several petitions to your office but we have not heard of any reply, that is why we decided to come here to alert our governor on what we’re passing through.”

Chief Security Officer to the governor, Mr Kingsley Nkuma who received the protesters thanked them for being civil in their protest while also pledging to bring the grouses of the protesters to the knowledge of the governor.

Meanwhile, placards wielded by the protesters bore the inscription; “His excellency, our petition is on your table,
Nkerehi people have been marginalized for over 16 years”, “please set up a panel to look into the crisis in our community,” and “Soludo please intervene in our plight plight” among others.

There is no place safe for terrorists to operate in Anambra: Soludo

Advertisements

The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed his administration’s determination to tackle the security situation in the state.

He made the declaration at a meeting with the political aspirants of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) held at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, yesterday. He stressed that the security challenges confronting the state are being perpetrated by criminals, who have now engaged in kidnapping, killing and other manner of criminalities as a lucrative enterprise, and which is a departure from any form of political agitations.

He said: “The battle line has been drawn… no place in Anambra will be safe for criminals to operate as government is putting stringent measures in place with security agencies to tackle the situation headlong and restore peace and order to the state.”

MEANWHILE, Igbo youths, under the aegis of Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), yesterday, raised the alarm over the state of killings in Anambra State, saying that cannibals have infiltrated Igbo land.

They also urged the governor of the state, Charles Soludo, to form special security guards to secure communities in the state.

Reacting to the killing of a lawmaker and seven others in the state, including a mother and her four children, the group decried the attempt to turn South East, especially Anambra, into a killing field.

In a statement, the youths condemned the sudden rise in insecurity in the region and vowed to resist it.

The statement signed by the President General of the group, Goodluck Ibem, reads: “The killing of the lawmaker and seven others, at different locations of the state by yet to be identified gunmen, is wicked, barbaric, criminal and senseless. No sane society will accept such acts of wickedness, perpetrated by these criminals. Something very urgent needs to be done to put a stop to these ugly incidents in our land.

ALSO, the Anambra State Police Command has frowned at the development where communities feel reluctant to give information about the activities of criminals in their areas, to help tackle them.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng, made this known in a press conference, yesterday, saying that police have identified some of the criminals and are going all out to deal with them.

Echeng maintained that there was nothing unknown about the gunmen terrorising the state to warrant calling then ‘unknown gunmen.’

He argued that ‘unknown gunmen’ is not the right name for these criminals, saying that people are trying to mystify something that is not just there.

According to him, it is time we go into demystifying these people, insisting that these people are not spirits and they live with us

Gunmen have beheaded Okechukwu Okoye, the lawmaker representing Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

The lawmaker and his aide, Cyril Chiegboka, were kidnapped on Sunday, along Aguluzigbo road, Anaocha Local Government Area of the state. He represented Aguata 2 Constituency in Anambra State.

Eyewitnesses told Channels Television that Okoye’s head was dumped at Chisco park in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area on Saturday, six days after he was abducted.

Soludo in a statement by his media aide, Christian Aburime, described the lawmaker’s killing as heartless and barbaric, saying he received the news with rude shock and deep sadness.

According to him, it is probably the same criminal gang that attacked him and killed three policemen at Isuofia two years ago that is once again on the prowl.

The governor also reassured the people of Anambra State of his administration’s resolve and renewed determination with the security agencies to go all out against the criminals and ensure they are brought to justice.

This is even as he placed a N10m reward for anyone or group that will avail valuable information that will lead to the immediate arrest of the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

“Soludo condoles with his kinsmen of Isuofia, noting that it is probably the same criminal gang that attacked him and killed three policemen at Isuofia two years ago that are once again on the prowl. But they can never cow down Isuofia and Anambra State,” the statement read.

“The governor is still in shock over the barbaric acts against his two kinsmen, vowing that the perpetrators, as well as all criminals operating in Anambra, must be decisively brought to book.

Advertisements

“Governor Soludo has consequently placed N10m reward for anyone or group that will avail valuable information that will lead to the immediate arrest of the perpetrators of this dastardly act. Anambra will soon be hell for these criminals.

“He wishes to reassure Ndi Anambra of the government’s resolve and renewed determination with the security agencies to go all out against the criminals and ensure they are brought to justice.

“Anambra will win against the forces of darkness. Ndi Anambra should brace up for the all-out war against the criminals.”
