With less than a week away until WrestleMania 38, WWE is sticking with their plan to have Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin close out the show.
Dave Meltzer reported that he’s heard talk that The KO Show segment would close out WrestleMania Saturday but he’s also heard that it could also be Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. Meltzer stated last week that Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are locked in to close out WrestleMania Sunday.
Reddit insider kermit125, who has broken several stories over the last couple of months, said today that the plan is still for Owens and Austin to close out WrestleMania. His exact statement reads: “Night 1 Closer: Still Austin vs Owens. You’re welcome.”
Austin is said to be in great shape and has been working hard at getting his cardio up to par ahead of his segment with Owens. While this is not being advertised as a match, all signs point towards Austin doing a lot more than just a kick and a stunner to end the night.
